Let's admit it! We all have a habit or two that we know is bad, yet has its own way of making itself known. Its like a rotten egg we keep on trying to conceal yet the pungent smell will always come out. We might even want to include it in our yearly New Year's Resolution but we see ourselves fail, and the bad habit looming over us--grinning in glee as he was never eradicated.
I for one have the bad habit of pushing myself to the limit that even if I have reach my maximum, I try to go beyond it; forcing myself to drain every last drop of precious energy till I go slack and dead-tired. Yes, I have been reading commentaries and articles regarding the overusing of one's body that it will result to negative effects to one's health. Also, I began to observe a rather painful sensation in my limbs once I do such stuff. Argh! It's high time I control this bad habit.
But I always believe there are 2 things I could do to overcome this bad habit. First, ask/pray to God to give you the strength, courage, and help you'll need to fight this battle. Second, believe in yourself that you can overcome and win this battle with God's help. It's all or nothing. Currently, I have been on the third day and though I make lapses, I'm beginning to see change.
